Aeon Soul front page update

Ve’ve been sprucing up the website so that is more representative and (Aeon)Soulful.

So now there is a bit more Aeon Soul on it. We have our Logo on the very top, then our new Logotype, the Newsletter subscription, a Gallery and some of Footsteps.

Logo

The Logo, maybe it’s never been too noticeable, but it’s been with us from the beginning. We had it on our websites, or in the corner of product images when we could take a little more time to add such details.

Logotype

The Logotype is a very recent addition, although we have had the sketch on our wall for a few years before we finally took the time to vectorize it and also hited someone on Fiverr for a more professional touch. We’re not yet 100% happy with it, but it’s a good beta-step.

It’s thick-ish, so it’s going to look nice embroidered on a t-shirt or on a baseball cap (finally) :)!
We always create all this customization for our virtual models and that’s something we love doing in real life too!

Newsletter

The Newsletter was the main drive behind having a website again: STAY IN TOUCH :)!
Well, the first was to have a more personal and artistic presence on the web. We’ve been using Artstation as our main space for a few years now, but wanted something more unique and expandable.
But the main, really, was to have a Newsletter so we could establish a direct link with our customers, since we feel faceless on Daz3d.

We have plans for newsletter freebies, but we’re not there yet.
We’ve been steadily progressing toward the goal though, and as other things on top of it are being completed, it’s coming close to the surface.
To-do lists have the innate ability to constantly grow. I think it’s one of fundametal laws of the Universe.

Gallery

And the Gallery!
The most notable addition.
We wanted to show what we do on our front page and it was really hard to choose only a “few” images: we LOVE what we do (well, most of it, but definitely the final result).

As we checked out promo pages, we really found a lot that was worth showing and that we loved.
We always create promo imags and art in such a hurry that it manages to slip out off our minds instantly. It’s always great to go back to a few months or a few years old product and find something you didn’t remember, but appreciate (and often more than originally).

We would like to add more Art, images that aren’t strictly content-related, but that’s one of those things that always gets left behind. Priorities…

Anyway, we like this gallery layout, it’s called Modula and after trying a few different ones, it was the best fitting for the page. It’s flexible and looks sleek.

Footprints

As for the footprints, they are our yearning for Phylosophy :).
Everybody needs some phylosophy in their lives!

We introduced them quite some time back as an end-of-page motto on products.
They were meant to be representative of the product itself and , mostly, just nice.
Unfortunately Daz would always edit them and they’d look out of place and akward and we just stopped adding them. Here they are finally, in their rightful place :).

Closing thoughts

We had planned the website for a few years, but kept prioritizing other projects and a wait for the “right time”. The truth is, one cannot wait for the stars to align and at some point you just have to make the right time.
It’s taking a little time to get where we want to go, but one step at a time we’re getting closer and that’s how you build grander things :)!
