Our Pricing Policy as self-published, indie creators

Hello everyone!
Today we are launching our first indie release and as we set out to manage our own stores and products, we want to be transparent about our pricing and sales policy.

As vendors we have always believed in offering high quality content for fair prices. It’s a straightforward and simple approach.
We want to feature fair prices year round with special promotions (a.k.a. sales) that happen once or twice a year for 20% to 30% off.

You will notice our sticker prices on Patreon, 3DShards, Flipped Normals Artstation and Renderhub are lower than what you are used to see pre-discounts.
This is because these are the actual prices for products and we do not have to account for an average >50% to 90% discount off our products.

We will be offering an introductory 20% discount for a two weeks period and most likely (nothing is set in stone yet for this year) have a 30% off sale in December. This won’t include products that were released too recently though.
For more than 10 years since we started selling products in 2001, we have had our main sale in December as our anniversary as content vendors falls on the 17th of the month and it’s a meaningful date for us.

This is also to say, do not expect our products to go on sale for 50% off anytime soon. Products that are one of two years old may be discounted more during our annual December sale, but as we’re just getting started it’s a little early to be precise about this.
