Our Stores

Publishing more independently

OUR DECISION MAKING

In June 2025, we decided to publish more independently because we both need and want greater control over our creative output.
We decided to rely on a third party platform (or rather platforms) as we prefer to focus our time on actually creating: products, freebies, YouTube videos and the occasional blog post.
We also want to keep sharing our art and stay active within the 3D community through galleries on DeviantArt, Renderhub, ArtStation and Daz3d (content permitting).
And yes, we will continue treleasing new products on Daz3d as well.

At the moment, this means we have two product lines:

1. Main Releases
Our main releases are available on Patreon, 3D Shards, Flipped Normals, and Renderhub.
We chose to publish across multiple stores because we’d rather reach people on platforms they already know and use, instead of expecting they subscribe to our platform of choice.

We aim to release on all platforms as simultaneously as possible. In any case, launches always happen on the same day, even if a few hours apart. The same goes for sales: they run across all websites within the same date range, although exact starting and ending times may vary slightly depending on the platform.

2. Secondary Releases
Our secondary releases are available exclusively through Daz3d/Aeon Soul. These will be mostly pose packages and add-ons or updates for products already available there.

There’s no difference in quality between our main and secondary releases (always top-notch!), only in content type and scope.

For those of you who are used to purchasing our creations on Daz3d, please know that our store is not closing, no products will be retired, and we will continue releasing new products there.

As for our indie platforms, here’s a brief breakdown of each of them:

On Patreon, we offer our releases as Posts (that is, individual products available for purchase).

There is no membership cost involved. A free membership is all that’s required, which simply means being registered on the platform and following us. Each new release appears as a purchasable post, very similar to a traditional product launch.

We’ve been fans of independent publishing and Patreon from the start. The subscription model, however, never quite worked for us. With the introduction of purchasable posts, it has become a viable solution.

Content note: there are no heavy restrictions regarding nudity. Our profile will be  flagged 18+ as soon as the options becomes available for all those offering posts, but we do not plan to create adult content, only to feature artistic nudity.

3D Shards is a Daz Studio–focused brokering platform created and managed by content creators. Their approach embraces both vendors and customers happiness, and they’re light-handed when it comes to content moderation. Pricing is left in the hands of the vendors, and products are tested before release.

We genuinely hope to see 3D Shards grow into a major player in the market. They’re working to build a nurturing community and store for both Daz Studio creators and users.

It’s refreshing to see someone trying to bring back some of the best aspects of the past, and we’re happy to support that vision.

Renderhub is a popular Daz Studio content store with a great-looking, active gallery section. Overall it’s a clean,  functional platform with good community tools.

The store tools available to vendors aren’t as developed or full-fledged as on some other platforms, but they’re accessible, and workable.

They run frequent contests with good prizes, which keeps things engaging.

We like this store because it focuses on high-quality content, features a streamlined and professional-looking website, and offers very generous commission cuts.

It’s a platform created by professional content creators, and that clearly shows in both their policies and their overall approach to creating and selling content.

We were accepted as vendors and are happy to be part of this high-profile community.

We actually stopped releasing on ArtStation right after our first indie product. The store interface is clunky and some fundamental tools are only available through the Pro subscription and operate more on the website terms than on your own.

(initial post) ArtStation had been our official website for a few years before we (re)launched aeonsoul.com. It’s scheduled to become part of FAB in October 2025 and, as far as digital 3D content is concerned, it remains a large marketplace. Vendors manage their shops autonomously and the fees are low.

When ArtStation’s marketplace first launched, it had a strong professional profile. In the last couple of years, however, it has become oversaturated with AI-generated content, which can be difficult to filter out. Hopefully, as it merges into FAB, it will regain a more curated and professional direction.

Non-indie platforms:

Daz3d is the developer behind Daz Studio and the Genesis characters, and it’s, by default, the main, largest and foremost marketplace for Daz Studio content.

The marketplace is curated: your submission needs to be accepted, your promotional material is reviewed and then the products are tested.
Once tested they are released as the marketing team sees fit (the whole process can take 2 to 5 weeks).
Products must be exclusive.

We have been selling on Daz3d since 2015 and had also sold through them before 2010 as Aery Soul. Things dramatically changed between these two periods in terms of product control by the vendors. Before, vendors could approve the final product page and they set their own sales, today everything is at Daz3d’s discretion and no information or plan is shared.

There are earning benefits for top vendors. It’s not clear how many vendors have access to these additional tiers of revenue and vendors do not know their rank (the possible bonus is posted on their account at the beginning of the following month), earnings are paid with a month of delay.

Daz3d does not share any store / sales data with vendors.

Thanks for your interest!

IT’S APPRECIATED!

Thanks for your interest in our creative output and the stores we sell through. Hopefully you’ll find something of interest among our offers and the right place to acquire it :)!

If you are new to the hobby and have any doubts about products, feel free to get in touch (you can find a contact us at the bottom of each page).
